When potential speakers are asked, “what do you need to become a motivational speaker?” I often receive the reply, “I need an audience!”
In the FAQ videos I have addressed the question, “who will I speak to?” You can start with groups that you belong to, and expand to groups whose members are seeking your solution to their challenges. If you know your target market, you can approach their professional association to be a speaker at their monthly meeting or to write articles for their newsletter so they know your expertise (speaking requests will soon follow!)
If you are serious about becoming a motivational speaker, you can search www.SpeakYourPassionNow.com for organizations that are seeking speakers. You can also be listed as a speaker who is available for free or paid speaking engagements. Based on your skill sets, they will also notify you when opportunities that meet your criteria are posted.
Of course, if you havent’ gone through my Your Target Market program, you can speak to any random, warm body, even your dog, just so you can practice in front of an audience!

If you haven’t already done so, you may want to view the FAQ videos for some tips as to where you can speak.
For speaking leads based on your target market, you can check out the following:
Susan Levin, owns Speaker Services, a training, development and marketing services company for speakers and authors. I have known Susan for many years and highly recommend getting listed in her directory as soon as possible! You can be listed in the directory in one of two categories – free or fee. If you are just starting out, you will most likely be listed under the free category. After you’ve given the same speech about 30 times to the same target market, you’ll probably be approached by people in the audience who ask, “how much would it be for you to speak to our group?” Success! It is time to start charging a fee!
I have given detailed answers to the question, “where will I speak?” in the FAQ videos . It also includes snippets of some of my previous jaunts on television and radio, locally and around the world. I hope you took advantage of that resource ($25 for all 4 videos!) and have started moving forward to become a motivational speaker.
For more information about Susan’s program, please visit, www.SpeakerServices.com and let her know I referred you.
See you on the speaking circuit!

Human beings are like computers. We have our body, which is the hardware. We have our brain, which is the motherboard, where all the action happens. We have our thoughts, which are our source code, the programming. We have our life experiences that are dictated by our source code, our thoughts.Let’s take this analogy one step further. If you are on your computer looking at a web page and you see a typographical error, you can make a change on your screen and feel better instantly. This is a temporary change, however. As soon as you pull something else up on your screen, those changes disappear. When you return to that web page, you see the edits did not occur. The real, permanent change comes when you go back to the source, the source code that creates what you see externally. Our lives are like the web page. It’s what we see and what others see. Our lives are the reflection of our thoughts. Thoughts become our reality. When someone says thoughts are things, that is what it means to manifest, to make real.Using this analogy, how do you change your life? You change your thoughts. Change the source code of your life and you will change what you experience or see in your life.Do these 5 things:
